Can Fox get Keanu Reeves back for “Speed 3″

Ok, so apparently, somebody over at aintitcool.com has confirmed that there is indeed a script for Speed 3. Some people though it may be a remake, but that’s not the case, and why would you want to remake it anyway, I still personally think that “Speed” was pretty damn good. Speed 2? Well that’s a whole different story, let’s just pretend that one never happened.

Anyway, back on topic. The screenplay for “Speed 3″ does in fact feature Officer Jack Traven, which was the part played by Keanu Reeves. Obviously, Fox would love to have Keanu Reeves back for the part, but keep in mind that since the first movie, Reeves has gone on to become the highest paid actor of all time, thanks to the Matrix Trilogy.

So what Fox has to ask themselves is, will they be able to get Keanu Reeves back for the movie? He did in fact pass on making Speed 2, so why would he want to do Speed 3? He also has a David Fincher “Untitled Chef Project” in the works. So, it is probably going to take a very large paycheck or an amazing script to get him back, or maybe even both.

Would you guys go see “Speed 3″ if Keanu Reeves was in it?

  1. I absolutely would… LOVE the first speed… they need to get him back!

  2. I would love to see another speed movie only if keanu is in it though. Im a guy but i gotta say thats one handsome dude. He has made a name for himself in the action genre. I would love to see him in a ghost in the shell movie or some sci-fi/sction mash up movie.

  3. Keanu had some sense and passed on Speed 2…which was garbage. Jan DeBont should have been ashamed of himself for even doing it.

If they want Keanu they are going to have to pay what he wants…..Gentlemen, open your wallets, please?
