George Miller is officially off “The Justice League”
Ever since the Justice League movie fell apart, we haven’t heard much else about it. It had a bunch of stars (I use that term loosely) lined up for the parts and George Miller set to direct. Well apparently, now George Miller is completely separated from the project.
Miller indicated that if the project does get going again, he expects that it’ll be recast as “the studios seem to want bigger stars in their superhero movies now.” I think Miller is right about this one, they are definitely going to need some star power for this one, that is, if the project ever gets off the ground again.
So for those DC comic fans out there, I’m sorry, you’ll just have to make due with your heroes fighting solo for a while, with the Superman Reboot, or hopefully another Batman movie. If you feel the need to see many heroes in one movie, you could always go see Marvel’s Avenger movie, it seems to be moving along a little smoother than Justice League, though, you never know how these things will turn out in the end.
If you were a George Miller fan, you’ll have to wait for some other project now. He had hopes of doing another Mad Max film with Mel Gibson, though Mel didn’t seem interested in his script. “The Odyssey” is also supposedly in the works for George Miller, but I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one. I would love to see an “Odyssey” movie though, how about you?
